[origin: EP1568942A1] The burner has a burner axle (12) extending to an air duct (2) with combustion air (10) supplied. A mixer (5) is arranged in the air duct where the direction of flow of the combustion air (10) is downstream to the mixer and a nozzle mechanism (13) for the low calorific gas is arranged. The nozzle mechanism (13) has several inlet ports having a gas distribution ring (17) with the air ducts radially surrounds outwards. The air duct has a ring channel (14) with an outside channel wall having several drillings interspersed, with the gas distribution ring in flow connection are located. An independent claim is included for a method.
