Abstract (en)
The slitter has a rotatable upper knife and a rotatable lower knife and a setting mechanism, which moves the upper and lower knives relative to each other. A controller (S, St1 to St3, 9 to 11) connects to the setting mechanism in such a way that upper knife (4) and lower knives (3, 3a) are positioned contactlessly to each other. The rotational axle of upper and under knife is arranged with an axial cutting gap. An independent claim is included for a and method.
