Abstract (en)
A candle, a combustible body for a night light or a granulate for the candle or combustible body is based on paraffin and >=30% of a renewable raw material and is compressed. Independent claims are also included for (1) production of the candle, combustible body and granulate by heat treating to homogenize a liquid warmed combustible material optionally with simultaneous addition of additives, compressing to give a paste and grouting to give a strand (23), each of these steps being effected in a closed vessel in a continuous process involving continuous cooling of the heated mass and separating the strand (23) into predetermined lengths; and (2) a machine for the production having (i) a plant for mixing the heated liquid (optionally with additives) in the form of a mixing unit (8) of an extruder integrated with a compressor and grouting device (10) and (ii) a heat treatment plant for the material in the form of a cooling unit stretching from the mixing unit (8) to the compressor and grouting device (10).
