[origin: DE102005023426B3] The door panel (2) has first and second metal plates forming (8,10) first and second broad sides (6,4) joined at the edges by a connecting device (26) with an arrangement for closely joining the metal plates and for releasing to allow relative plate movement in the event of a fire. The connecting device has a hooking arrangement, whereby at least one edge of the first metal plate is bent to a first hook profile (44) and the associated edge of the second metal plate is bent to a second hook profile (62).
