Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1724536A2] The apparatus has a longitudinal vessel connected to a collecting tube of a heat exchanger, and defining a heat exchanger chamber and an accumulator chamber. The chambers extend parallel over a portion of the length of the vessel. A flat multi-chamber tube is extruded to extend straight over the length of the vessel, where refrigerant on one side flows through the tube and refrigerant on another side flows through the vessel. A heat-conducting rib extends around a periphery of the tube, and fills up the remaining cross-section of the heat exchanger chamber.
