[origin: WO2005090185A1] The invention relates to a lock for a container, in particular for a cosmetic composition, wherein the lock comprises a hinged lid (1) which is connected in a one-piece manner to a base body (2) by means of a film hinge (8) provided with a pivoting axis (9), a snap-on mechanism for holding the hinged lid (1) in a first position (A), a spring element (6) which is arranged on said lid and is stretched in the direction of the first position (A) thereof. The inventive lock automatically displaces the hinged lid (1) in a second stable position (C) by a pressure applied by the spring after releasing the snap-on mechanism during a pivoting motion. A separate controll unit (7, 17) controls, at least during the part of the pivoting movement, the force produced by the spring on the hinged lid (1), thereby causing a delay with respect to the uninfluenced pivoting motion produced by the spring force.
