Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005101847A1] The invention relates to a method for distributing audio-visual sequences according to an original stream format formed by succession of frames consisting in analysing original stream, prior to the transmission thereof to a user equipment, in order to generate a first modified main stream and complementary information, afterwards in transmitting the thus modified main stream and complementary information through separate channels to the user's equipment and in computing on the user's equipment the synthesis of the original format stream according to said modified main stream and to said complementary information, wherein said synthesis involves a stage for applying operations, including modelling, which generate sequences of pseudo-random values whose parameters are known, a stage for extracting original data according to said pseudo-random sequences and a stage for storing said modelling parameters in complementary information. A system for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
