Printing table (10) comprises a base (14) joined to a plate (12) by connecting elements (18) which allow relative movement of the plate to the base parallel to the table surface caused by thermal expansion and from a point-like or line-like region of the plate relative to the base. Preferred Features: The connecting elements apply holding forces in and against a holding direction and are positioned perpendicular to the holding direction.
