Abstract (en)
The rectangular flapped packaging unit (10), in particular, for cigarettes has an outer wrapper consisting of film or some other tearable material, and is provided with a tear strip running diagonally along the front and rear walls into the side walls (16, 17). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method for producing an outer wrapper with a tear strip for such a packaging unit; and (2) an apparatus for producing an outer wrapper with a tear strip for such a packaging unit.
