[origin: DE102005023706B3] The fuel injection system has a fuel pump unit (1, 2) with a feed pump (1) and a high-pressure fuel pump (2). It also has a fuel filter (4) and a venting device (5) between the pump unit and the filter. The venting device is in the form of a path valve (5'). The path valve combines the venting function with measurement of the temperature of the fluid flow. For this purpose, the path valve includes a temperature sensor (6).
