Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1726878A1] The method involves supplying an inert gas flow to a sealing device (4) of a hydrogen compressor. Gas flow comprising the inert gas flow and a combustible product gaseous flow is recovered at an outlet of the device for supplying a duct (6). The gas flow is separated, in an outlet of the duct, into two gaseous flows of which one gaseous flow is supplied to a fuel manifold (10) connected to burners and the other gaseous flow is sent towards a flare (11) for being burnt. The pressure of the device is maintained at a pressure greater than the gas pressure in the manifold.
