Abstract (en)
Tempering and/or correcting the ignition time of a shell fired from a weapon (10), comprises measuring the actual shell speed and calculating the speed of the shell (2) in the barrel of the weapon. The ignition point is then adjusted and/or corrected based on the calculated speed. The actual speed is measured using the Doppler effect.
