Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1727245A2] The connector has front and rear connector assemblies (12, 14) each with isolating bodies (38, 40) disposed in cases (46, 48) respectively and made of composite metallic material. The case (46) of the assembly (12) constitutes a fixed base and has a hollow cylindrical shape with an axial cylindrical extension (50) that forms a skirt enclosing an end face of the body (38). The case (48) of the assembly (14) has a hollow cylindrical shape and an end skirt (54) enclosing an end zone of the isolating body (40) of the assembly (14). The bodies contact with each other by a sealing joint (42).
