[origin: WO2005092446A1] The invention relates to a rupture pipe (1) in various forms of embodiment, used in both direct and indirect fire extinguishing systems and installations. The inventive pipe (1) is extrusion-formed from a thermoplastic material, maintained under pressure, and embodied in a flexible manner for the laying thereof. Elements (2 to 6) are arranged in or on the wall of the pipe (1), said elements causing, in the event of a critical heat action, for example when a source of fire is created, an accelerated weakening of the wall of the pipe (1) by rapid heat transfer to the pipe wall, thus leading rapidly to the rupturing of the pipe (1), an extinguishing agent leaking from the point of rupture in direct fire extinguishing systems or a loss of pressure being generated in the pipe (1) in indirect fire extinguishing systems.
