Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005092555A1] The invention relates to a welding machine, working by the electrical resistance welding method, for the production of sheets of wire grid, comprising overlapping longitudinal and transverse bars (L, Q), welded together at the crossing points, comprising several welding units (1, 1'), arranged perpendicular to the production direction, which have, at least for each longitudinal wire, an upper welding head (2), arranged above the grid production plane (X-X), including an upper electrode and a lower welding head (5), arranged below the grid production plane, including a lower electrode which may be displaced against the upper electrode, with a common rail system (26, 28, 31), presenting at least two common rails, running along the welding line (S-S), for supply of the welding current to the welding electrodes, whereby adjuster devices (56, 57), clamping devices (64, 65, 66; 64', 65', 66') and drive devices (60, 60', 60"; 61, 62, 63) are provided for the continuous positioning of all welding units perpendicular to the production direction (P1) along the welding line.
