Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005095105A1] Disclosed is a composite film for producing receptacles, particularly tubes, whose outer layers (1, 3) are made of a sealable material and contain an intermediate layer (5) therebetween which is used as a stock for a decorative imprint. The sealing layers (1, 3) are laminated against the intermediate layer (5). At least the sealing layer that faces outward in the receptacle is made of a transparent material. The intermediate layer (5) can be optimized regarding printability as the same does not have any sealing function, which is of benefit for the quality of the imprint. The edges (21) of a cut film (23) of the composite film that are to be joined in a blunt manner so as to form a tubular blank tube are provided with recesses (25) which extend along the edges (21) and are filled with a material that is connected in a fixed manner to the outer layers (1, 3) during the sealing process, said material being particularly a sealable material, whereby the mechanical resistance of the blunt seam can be improved.
