[origin: WO2005095202A1] The invention relates to a swimming aid that is to be worn on the body and provides floatability. Said swimming aid comprises a dimensionally variable part that can be adjusted to the body size and is provided with a first, detachable closing means, with the aid of which the variable body size adjustment can be made, and at least one buoyancy element. The inventive swimming aid comprises an additional second, detachable closing means that can be detached without modifying the set body size adjustment of the dimensionally variable part. A swimming aid in the form of a jacket and a swimming aid encompassing a supporting belt system are particularly preferred embodiments.
