[origin: US2007039972A1] A hinge is provided for connecting two flap portions of a folding flap, and there is a gap between the flap portions. The hinge includes two hinge portions, each of which can be fixed to a flap portion. At least one of the hinge portions which is mounted displaceably with respect to a mounting plate is held in a first position by a force-exerting holding device and is movable into a second position after the force is overcome and the holding device is released or unlatched, with the gap between the flap portions being increased.
