Abstract (en)
The tank for storing inflammable or hazardous liquids has a steel false bottom (6). A pressure compensating filling (3) is positioned between this and the base (1) of the tank which has an open-pore structure and is made from a mixture of rigid and flexible particles held together with patches of flexible glue (32), leaving gaps (31) between them. Cavities (7) for mounting sensors are left in the filling. The sensors are connected to an exterior analysis unit (9) and detect leaks. An independent claim is included for the filling.
