Abstract (en)
A paper manufacturing assembly delivers a web to first (1) horizontal and second (2) drying station one or both of which are impingement driers (2). The impingement drier (2) has an elongated near-vertical section (12, 13) running past a horizontally directed blow-drying hood (14, 15). The vertical section is preceded by a horizontal drying stage (3). The horizontal section is slightly cambered. The two drying stages are located directly after the web press (17). Also claimed is a commensurate operating process.
