Bei einer Gelenkarmmarkise umfassend zwei Gelenkarme, an deren äußerem Ende ein Ausfallprofil angeordnet ist und oberhalb deren innerem Ende zum Ausfahren eines Markisentuchs eine drehantreibbare Tuchwelle mit einem Tuchwickel angeordnet ist, wobei das äußere Ende des Markisentuchs mit dem Ausfallprofil verbunden ist, ist vorgesehen, dass im beziehungsweise am Ausfallprofil (3) eine Abdeckung (9) für den Tuchwickel (7) im eingefahrenen Zustand der Markise angeordnet ist.
