Abstract (en)
The engine has a supply duct (32) conveying a mixture containing air and a recycled exhaust gas from a pressure wave surcharger (2) to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine (1). An exhaust gas outlet duct (42) evacuates the exhaust gas from the surcharger. A supply duct (33) conveys another mixture containing air and a recycled exhaust gas from the surcharger to the combustion chamber. An exhaust gas outlet duct (43) evacuates the exhaust gas from the surcharger. The ducts (42, 43) comprise butterfly valves (44, 45) controlled by an electronic control unit (5). An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine supplying method.
