[origin: WO2005100270A1] The invention relates to a method for the treatment of sewage sludge, i.e. sludge originating from wastewater treatment plants, comprising a step involving solid/liquid separation by means of filtration. The invention is characterised in that the method comprises a step prior to the filtration step, involving the addition of two types of solid loads, each load type comprising particles having a homogenous average particle size which is different from that of the particles forming the other load type, in order to form an incompressible filter matrix with a high drainage function during the filtration step.
