Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005093196A1] The invention relates to an openable vehicle roof (10) comprising a mobile roof element (16) for selectively closing and at least partially opening up a roof opening (22), a frame component (34) which is fixed to the vehicle body and extends over at least one edge region of the roof opening, a sealing element (36) which is arranged in the region of the frame component, and against which the roof element is positioned when the roof opening is closed, an electromotive drive for displacing the roof element, and a monitoring device coupled to the drive, said monitoring device evaluating drive parameters derived from the drive, and switching the drive off, and optionally reversing the same, when an interfering body (38) is detected between the roof element and the edge region of the roof element, on the basis of the evaluation of the drive parameters. According to the invention, an abutment surface (40) for detecting an interfering body (38) is provided on the roof element (16), and the vehicle roof (10) is embodied in such a way that when an interfering body is located between the edge region of the roof opening (22) and the roof element, when the roof opening is closed, the abutment surface comes into contact with the interfering body before the roof element engages with the sealing element (36).
