[origin: WO2005096446A1] The invention relates to a plug-in adapter for establishing an electrical connection between contacts of a plug, which is fixed to the end of a cable, and contact surfaces of a patch panel, which are formed on the edge of a printed circuit board. The plug-in adapter comprises a base body with a first receiving shaft designed for the insertable reception of the plug, a second receiving shaft designed for the insertable reception of the patch panel, and with contact bodies in the first and second receiving shafts. The electrical connection is established between corresponding contact bodies by a respective connecting element situated in the base body.
