[origin: EP1147716A2] The glue-applicator incorporates at least one applicator-nozzle and a rotary slide valve (32) for interrupting the flow of glue to the nozzle. At least one feeder pipe (23) connects the rotary slide valve and the nozzle. The rotary slide valve is in the form of a rotary roller (32) which has an irregular (37,38) peripheral surface in the form of grooves, cavities, cams and or protuberances. The roller is rotarily mounted in a chamber (31) of a housing (30) and possesses axially adjacent sections (461-465) with differently shaped irregularities.
