[origin: EP1731678A1] The protection has a number of fillable sacks (10) composed of a flexible fabric material, where mutually adjacent coupling sides of adjacent sacks are connected with each other in a coupling region. A stiffening structure (12) is associated with each of the coupling regions, where the structure extends from a base region up to an upper marginal region of the sacks. The coupling sides are connected by a frictional connection such as screws, nails, clamps, bands and C-clamps, between the two structures of the respective coupling sides. An independent claim is also included for a method for filling a flood protection consisting of a number of sacks.
