Abstract (en)
A cylinder (10) for an electronic locking system comprises at least one operating element (16,18) and locking element that are rotationally coupled or locked together by an electronic coupling element that comprises a lever (22) turning between two positions. The lever has at least two arms (24,26) fixed together at least one of which has an electromagnet to turn the lever while the lever is held stably in a position by a permanent magnet or spring on deactivating the electromagnet.
