Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1731863A2] Heat exchange plate has inflow and outflow openings and is sectioned. The heat exchange plate (2) is made of metal plate segement (10,11) welded together. The weld seam (25) or weld seams follow a straight course along the sectioning and/or follow the contour of the sections or another contour of the heat exchange plate. The metal plate segments are welded together using cross or lengthwise seams or combination of both seam types. By the process, the flat metal segments are welded together into a heat exchange plate blank which is then shaped into a heat exchange plate. Alternatively the segments are bent and then welded into a heat exchange plate.
