[origin: WO2005092205A1] The invention concerns an assembly comprising a first knee distraction ancillary (10) including two branches (13, 14) mobile relative to each other and respectively provided at their distal end with tibial support means (26) and femoral support means (28) and means (16) for relatively spacing apart the distal ends of the branches. Said distraction ancillary (10) further comprises a device (12) for locating, on the inside and outside of the femur, implantation of at least one pair of extramedullary pins along respective directions pertaining to a common plane substantially parallel to a planar tibial supporting surface defined by the tibial support means (26), said plane being located at an adjustable distance from said tibial support surface. The invention is applicable to implantation of a knee prosthesis, in particular with mobile plate.
