First processing units (PU) (20) with a first functionality in two or more post-processing centers (10) interconnect with one or more second PU with a second functionality inside a data network. Linkage information is stored inside a service list (SL) for building up data links with the first PU. A load-balancing unit uses the SL to set up a data link with a first PU and send it a second PU.
