Abstract (en)
A method of operation for a printer (4) and a printer system, the method comprising applying at least one test portion of ink (24) to a print medium (30), rubbing the test portion with a rubber (22), sensing the sensing test portion with a sensor (21), sending a signal representative of the sensed rubbed test portion to a processor associated with the printer so that said processor is capable of determining the extent of ink migration (25) caused by the rubber.
