Abstract (en)

The method involves cutting through a material strip on the winding spool (3) to make a material strip end (19), cutting through in a feed region to make a material strip start, making an adhesive strip on the start and sticking the end to the start with this. It involves fixing the start of the material strip to the periphery of the roller (7) and cutting through the strip on the roll at a position on the circumference whose distance to a pinch point (12) on the roller is exactly the same as the distance of the following end of the adhesive point to the pinch point. An independent claim is also included for a device for spooling a material strip onto a winding roll.
