[origin: FR2886951A1] The device has wheels (21, 22) rotating around axes (A 21, A 22) with respect to a frame of a loom. An assembly forms a reed comprising attachments (133, 136) that are distributed in two series (S 1, S 2) along a reed width of the loom. The attachments are provided for guiding flexible parts (112, 122) of rapiers such that the parts (112, 122) do not contact the teeth (132a) of a reed (132). The reed is situated between a plane containing points and a plane perpendicular to fabric plies before the separation of the plies. An independent claim is also included for a loom to be woven comprising a weft yarn insertion device.
