Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1734217A2] The window or door element has a casement frame (12a) supporting a window pane packet (13) comprising several parallel panes of glass (13a,13b,13c) which fits into a recess (15) and is connected to the frame by an adhesive layer (16). A further adhesive layer (17) is inserted between the casement frame (12a) and window pane packet to connect a protruding section (13c1) of the overhanging pane element to the frame. The two adhesive layers are connected to one another and have a double-angled cross-section. The two adhesive layers completely fill out the interspace between window pane packet and the frame. A bearing seal (18,19) can be mounted between the casement frame and support frame (11) which fits into the building opening.
