Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1515012A1] A modular assembly removes soot particles from automotive exhaust gases by oxidation of trapped particles with NO(2). The NO(2) is oxidized by NO exhaust gases in contact with a catalyst in relation to the gas flow speed at a temperature above about 200[deg] C. The module contains one or more layers of open-pored noble metal foam (2).
