Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005099523A1] A shelf structure having two or more module units (199) vertically arranged with each module units (199) adapted to receive individual articles at said articles location of manufacture with these articles ultimately to be displayed for purchase in a retail store from the module unit (199). The module unit (199) includes a main body with at least one hollow section that defines an article storage location. The hollow section is enclosed within a top panel (128), base panel (130), opposed side panels (120, 122) and opposed front and back panels (124, 126). The top panel (128) is adapted to vertically engage and support an adjacent base panel (130) of an other module unit. There are transfer means adapted to engage a material handling device to move said module unit (199), such that when the or each module unit is stacked in a vertical arrangement, said arrangement forms a shelf structure of which individual articles displayed within the or each module unit are freely accessible by members of the purchasing public in the retail store.
