[origin: WO2005098104A1] Disclosed is a device for applying a preparation to threads, comprising a housing (1) that is provided with an inlet (3) and an outlet (6) for a thread (1) as well as a preparation apparatus (4) which is disposed inside the housing (1). The inventive device is characterized in that the housing (1) is divided at the inlet and outlet (3, 6) for placing the thread (1) in the housing (1) while the housing division and/or the inlet and outlet (3, 6) is/are sealed. Also disclosed is a corresponding method for applying a preparation to threads.
