Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005101606A1] The invention relates to a circuit for a series motor, wherein two electronic switches, without the intervention of a mechanically disconnecting switch, allow for a reliable switching. For this purpose, two electronic switches (triacs) (14, 16) are preferably connected in series, and the voltage drop at the level of the triac (14) is completely monitored via a monitoring circuit (20). An error check can be carried out before the motor is switched on. Alternatively, a fusible can be triggered via a parallel safety switch (triac).
