[origin: WO2005092166A1] The inventive format selecting device is characterised in that it makes it possible to control the distribution of material band formats in a one-to-two ratio, wherein the position of the format selecting device enables a cutting blade to come out from a drum at each revolution thereof for a small format and at each two revolutions for a large format, said selecting device acts and initiates a ratio of the sprocket assembly s (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7) at which the sprockets are meshing therebetween for a small format distribution and certain sprockets (P2, P3, P7) are punctually disengaged on the drum revolution for distributing large formats and take away the blade exit outside of the drum, the selecting device is positioned from the flange of a housing on the external and internal side thereof and comprises an operating lever (23) provided with two fixed stops (24, 25) which are remote and arranged on the flange (1) defining an angular space (a) corresponding to the lever (23) pivoting in the top or lower part according to a selected format, the pivoting of said operating lever (23) acts by axially pushing a push member (12) guided on a hub part (11) receiving the two first sprockets (P1, P2) arranged along an axis Y and said push member (12) actuates, by specific means according to the lever position, a connection between the two sprockets (P2, P3) and the exit of the cutting blade at each drum revolution or a retraction of the third sprocket (P3) and the exit of the cutting blade once every two times.
