[origin: WO2005100025A1] In order to transfer an imaging coating from a carrier film to a sheet to be printed, an imaging adhesive layer is applied to the sheet to be printed. The carrier film provided with the imaging coating is guided past the sheet to be printed, under pressure, in a coating module (2), such that the coating adheres to the contact spots and an image is created. The aim of the invention is to improve the function of said device, to simplify one such device and to increase the flexibility of the same. To this end, inter alia, a pad is provided on the press roll (3) with reducible adhesion to the transfer film (5).
