Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005095229A1] Disclosed is a device for dispensing a fluid, especially a carbon-containing beverage, from a storage chamber (15) of a receptacle (12) towards the outside via at least one closeable discharge port (14). Said device comprises a pressure reservoir (16) which is separated from the storage chamber (15) and in which a pressurized propellant is accommodated that can be connected to the storage chamber (15) via a pressure-regulating mechanism (17). Said pressure-regulating mechanism (17) is provided with an axially movable control element (30), preferably in the form of a membrane that is impinged upon by means of a biasing means (38) in the direction of an open position in which propellant is discharged from the pressure reservoir (16) into the storage chamber (15). The ambient pressure to which the receptacle (12) is exposed acts upon the control element (30) in the direction of the open position while the internal pressure prevailing within the storage chamber (15) of the receptacle (12) acts upon the control element (30) in the direction of the closed position.
