According to the invention, a braided core (1) is woven with braiding threads (4a, 4b) that are unwound by means of bobbins (5a, 5b) rotating concentrically about the braided core (1) in different directions. The inventive method is characterised in that the bobbin (5a) rotating in one direction is provided with reinforcing threads (4a) and the bobbin (5b) rotating in the opposite direction is at least partially provided with supporting threads (4b), said supporting threads (4b) consisting at least partially of thermoplastic threads.
