Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005090774A1] The invention relates to a fuel-injection device comprising a high-pressure region, which contains at least one high-pressure accumulator (16), in which fuel is stored under pressure and at least one injector (20) that is connected to the high-pressure accumulator (16) for injecting fuel in the cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The fuel-injection device also comprises a low-pressure region, which is connected at least indirectly to a fuel reservoir (12). The high-pressure region has a connection (40) to the low-pressure region that is controlled in accordance with the fuel temperature in the high-pressure region. Said connection is at least substantially closed at a higher fuel temperature, thus separating the high-pressure region from the low-pressure region and is open at a lower fuel temperature.
