[origin: EP1738809A2] The surface has pipes arranged parallel to each other and having a heat insulating base plane and a pipe bundle. The pipes are streamed by a heatable or coolable medium and a filling material (7) fills joints between the pipes, where the material is quartz sand. An elastic layer is arranged above the pipes and has granules. A top coat is applied on the elastic layer and forms an artificial turf, where the pipes are connected by bars.
