Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1739260A1] The device has an actuator shaft connected and secured for rotation, and formed with first and second teeth (28) for meshing with respective first and second gearwheel segments (24,25). The gearwheel segments are provided to couple with the first and second counter teeth portions (52,53) of an operating slidegate valve (17). The counter teeth portions move in predetermined rotation angle in cooperation with gearwheel segments. A coupling device (56) is arranged for coupling and uncoupling gearwheel segments in the rotational angle range while the gearwheels are rotated by the actuator shaft. An independent claim is included for the operation method of the drive device.
