Abstract (en)
The mechanism has a weatherstrip (1) installed in a building opening (4) and coupled to a framework (2), such that a gap (40) is formed between the framework and building opening. The weatherstrip has two opposing ends, one of which is connected to a plug-in profile (14) provided for connecting with the framework. The plug-in profile has a plug-in portion (140) that is inserted into the groove (20) formed on the framework. The plug-in profile is provided for adhesive-free connection of the weatherstrip to the framework. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) Use of the sealing mechanism; and (2) Use of the weatherstrip.
