Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005103373A2] The invention provides a method for controlling a bleaching process for waste paper treatment, which comprises the steps of preparing a fibrous material suspension, measuring the whiteness of the fibrous material suspension, mixing said fibrous material suspension with a bleaching agent, introducing the mixed fibrous material suspension into a bleaching vessel (7) and removing the mixed fibrous material suspension from said bleaching vessel after a certain period of time. Said method is characterised in that the bleaching agent contains a mixture of several substances, whereby the quantity and/or composition of the added bleaching agent is adjusted according to the measured whiteness of the fibrous material suspension, such that a set whiteness as constant as possible is obtained for the removed fibrous material suspension.
