Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005101443A2] The invention relates to a switchgear (S) for electrical installations, said switchgear comprising a housing (2) provided with terminal connections (1). In order to increase the level of security against flashovers between the electroconductive outer parts of two adjacent switchgears, at least one shielding element (3) formed as a single component on the housing is provided in the region of the terminal connection (1), or at least one recess (8), cavity (8) or the like is provided on at least one part of the housing and/or at least one part formed on the housing (2) in order to lengthen the tracking path. Furthermore, said switchgear (S) for electrical installations, comprising a housing (2) having at least one terminal connection (1), is provided with means for completely removing the clamping screw (15) from the clamping opening (17) in order to simplify the introduction of ring cable terminals.
