Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005105447A1] The invention relates to a web-fed rotary press comprising a printing unit (02) that is provided with a specific width for printing a web (03.1; 03.2) of six adjacent vertical printed pages in a first newspaper format (F1; F2). A longitudinal cutting device (05; 06) is provided by means of which a web (03.1) printed with six adjacent printed pages in newspaper format (F1; F2) can be cut into three partial webs (03a; 03b; 03c) that have a width corresponding to two vertical newspaper pages. In addition, a folding assembly (11) is provided that comprises a group of three formers (41; 42; 43) which are located next to each other on a machine plane. Said three formers (41; 42; 43) are disposed in the web-fed rotary press in such a way that the two distances (A1; A2) between folding planes of two formers (41; 42; 43) which are placed next to each other in pairs can be modified.
